"Princess Princess" was originally a manga series created by Mikiyo Tsuda, serialized in the magazine
"Wings". Since then it has resulted in an anime, a video game for the Playstation 2 console a live action drama, and a variety
of merchandise.
"Princess Princess" (プリンセス・プリンセス)
is the story of Kouno Toru (河野 亨,), an attractive boy who transfers to the all boy's Fujimori school and ends up getting more
than he bargained for. He discovers that the school has a facet known as the "princess system", in which attractive first-year
students dress up as girls to add excitement to the dull life of the all-male school life, and he is being recruited to be
a princess. Toru is skeptical at first, but eventually agrees when he discovers the financial rewards of the job, needing
to make money so he won't burden his uncle. But the road of Princess-dom is littered with obstacles (often one of the largest
of these being the reluctance of princess Yutaka Mikoto), and he and his fellow princesses must overcome them and learn to
master the job.
